the end of this video, you will have my four steps to becoming a great setter.
These are the exact tips I use with my setters and now it’s your turn.
Number one, master setting the perfect pass. To become a great setter, you need a
lot of repetition setting. First start by practicing setting the perfect pass. When
the pass is perfect, the ball is much easier to pass. After you get comfortable with
this, you can focus on the passes where you need to run them down. Number two, focus on the movement
patterns for moving along the net. There are a series of movements to train along
the net. These are the same movements you will use in a real game. Number three, focus on the movement
patterns for coming off the net. Most often the pass won’t be perfect. The
setter needs to become comfortable coming off the net to make an athletic
play to set the ball. Number four, focus on setting a passed ball. The setter needs to learn to set a ball that’s passed because the setter needs to
anticipate. A ball that is toss isn’t anticipated. The more the setter
anticipates, the better they will be at moving to get in position to set.
This is the reason why keeping training game like is so important. Now to become
a great setter, you need to become great and moving to the ball. Now if you
