– My desire, from a health perspective, is to be fit, so whether that’s running, biking, walking, playing tennis, whatever, I’d like to be able to do
it, when I want to do it. I first encountered physical injury doing physical training here in town. I picked somebody up
with a fireman’s carry and tweaked my back, essentially, and it just progressively
got worse and worse. It made me feel terrible,
I wouldn’t say depressed but it didn’t make me feel good. First impression of Clark was assuring, calm, confident that he would
be able address the issue. And he gave me the impression
that he would take me from start to finish, not you
know, 80% of the way there. Clark addressed my back
problem by trying to understand root cause, and not just
address the symptoms. The exercise program that he gave me just incorporated a lot of
different basic movements. I think he tries to teach you essentially how to move again, or how to work certain muscles again. It took time, but from start to finish I noticed a huge difference. I was able to sit in a chair, and get up and not have a back spasm. I was able to run again,
and compete in races, 5Ks, 10Ks, half-marathons,
whereas before, no way. I like the fact that Clark
was never condescending or above me, he always listened
to the input I gave him and he tried to incorporate
that into his practice. I do not feel like I would’ve
gotten the same result if I had gone elsewhere because I did it. You know, I tried several
different physical therapists and never got to a point
where I was 100% better. I would tell somebody that is experiencing an injury right now that
they should come see one of Clark’s team members. I am thankful for Thrive for
getting me to where I am now. I am thankful for some
of the relationships I’ve built with the team
members, the great people here. There’s a good energy about this place. (uplifting music plays)
