One of the most common mistakes of the serve return is failing to track the ball from the bounce to the contact point. This drill works precisely that. The players have to focus totally, watching the ball come off the
ground and into their contact point. This is a great way to warm up for return practice. In order to do this, the players have you very short backswings, line up the racquet behind the ball and push it through. This is a drill for advanced players
that requires a lot of feel and control. But it is an
excellent way to work on the basics of the return of serve.

  1. It's awesome and helpful but could i ask something? Can we use the first drill not only for return i mean can we use it when we are playing normal, a rally?

  2. Coach in training here…thank you very much for these tips. I have never tried them yet. Can't wait to.
