Learn how to master the perfect return
of serve in doubles! It’s George Hobson from Secrets Of The Pros, and in this video you’ll learn a simple tip that you can implement next time you’re out on
court to hit the perfect return of serve. Now the return of serve is
probably the second most important shot in the game of tennis. Yet it’s probably
one of the least practiced. So with that let’s dive in and take a look at a clip of Kontinen and Peers mastering the perfect return of serve. As you can see in the clip the ball is
hit into the middle of the service box, a return is hit out wide and a simple
volley is executed in the open court. But let’s have a look at that clip again
have a look exactly where that ball lands. You can see as the serve goes down
in the middle of the service box the ball is struck and lands around about
the intersection between the service line and the inside tramline and that is
your new target for the return of serve. So next time you’re out on court try
and aim for that intersection between the service line and the inside tramline
and the best thing is that target is already marked out for you. Now you may
be thinking why should I aim there? Well, firstly it gets past the net player and
it takes your opponent out wide off the court which creates more space on the
court. Now if they are a serve and volleyer, if they move up into the court
it’ll be a nasty volley right down at their feet or if they decide to stay back
it’ll push them wide off the court and should create a simple volley for your
partner at the net. So they will have it! next time you’re out on court aim for that
intersection and you should have master the perfect return and serve. Make sure
you subscribe, gives us a thumbs up and comment and how this worked out for you.
I look forward to seeing you next time from Secrets Of The Pros
