Hi Romix, thanks for your question. I heard you’re looking for a bit of advice on your slice serve. So, common mistake on a slice serve is to not really have much pronation on your racket, so a lot of
people swing around the ball like this, but actually in order to get the slice
you still need pronation, I like as a left-hander to try to make contact with
the ball at 11 o’clock, so it’s more like a topspin slice rather than a pure slice so I get the racket going here traveling out this
way, so even though I want the ball to go there I’m still hitting the ball like
this and that’s the feeling that I’m trying to get on my slice serve. But
always think of topspin slice rather than a pure slice because a pure slice
will try to promote this sort of trajectory but you want this with your
racket, like that, and the racket really going out there and almost the more you
throw your racket that way the more slice or arc you’re going to get on the
ball.
