as-salāmu ʿalaykum wa-raḥmatu llāhi wa-barakātuhuShoaib Malik, retired from the national cricket team,
has retired from ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Shoaib Malik saw many memorable moments in
his 20-year-old career and took several matches to Pakistan, but his performance was not impressive
in the recent World Cup due to which the 16-run match against India proved to be the final
match of his career. In the final matches of the tournament, the
team could not be part of it. Shoaib Malik’s wife, Indian Tennis star, Sanya
Mirza, expressed his feelings on husband’s retirement, saying, “The end of every story
is, but every end in this life starts a new beginning,” Shoaib said. Serve it, you continue with it with respect
and humility, and I am proud of you for whatever you have achieved, but we are more than that
of you. ”
