I think I fell in love
with tennis immediately. During the war in Belgrade it was very
difficult to train, for many reasons. My parents and my family
really protected me from all that. You have to make certain sacrifices
to get to the top, you have to work hard for it,
nothing is ever given to you. I always demanded 100% of myself and I was never satisfied,
I wanted perfection. Winning Roland-Garros in 2008
was a very emotional moment for me. I got this watch in the beginning
of the tournament and I felt like it was my lucky charm because two weeks later
I was holding the trophy. So this watch symbolises all the hard
work that has been put day in, day out. It just keeps going
because you always want to do better and you want to improve. Holding the trophy on Philippe-Chatrier
and lifting it up as high as I can reach and seeing my new Rolex Daytona
on my wrist just reminded me
of all that hard work and belief that I had. This is what my Daytona stands for, to strive for perfection.
