His father maybe be a footballing icon, but
it looks like Romeo Beckham has his eye on a future in tennis. And the 13-year-old has had a hit with World
No.2 Andy Murray to help him on his way. “I think it is great for any young kid
to have great role models in sport and Andy is definitely one of those for many kids around
the world.” Murray may be busy at Queen’s club defending
his Aegon Championship title, but he still took the time to give Romeo advice on his
game. Proud dad David Beckham turned photographer
for the special session. Romeo is a member of the prestigious club
and is reportedly incredibly dedicated to the sport – practicing up to five times a
week! And his most recent practice partner has put
father David off taking him on. “I know, I was going to play him tomorrow
morning. I don’t think I will now.” Who knows maybe he’ll be on the other side
of the net with the teenager in a few years. Who knows if Romeo keeps practicing maybe
he’ll be facing Murray on tour in a few years time…
