  1. This may be the best drill I've ever seen on the golf swing takeaway. Is this drill specific to the golf driver? OR can this same drill be used for the irons? etc. Thanks in advance Adam you're the best golf instructor online period. You've helped my game so much! I'm a lifetime member at ScratchGolfAcademy.com and it's the best decision I've every made for my golf improvement.

  2. I recently read a great summation of Dante's book and tried the technique on the range. While I found the early wrist break to be extremely successful from wedges to about 6 Iron, I found it more difficult with longer clubs. Would it be possible to play using this more traditional technique with my longer clubs in addition to the early wrist action technique with my shorter clubs?

  3. As good as it gets Adam. Left Hand Pinky Pressure also Helps. If you look from down the line you can clearly see the Ring finger and Pinky of the Left Hand until they pass the Right Hip. (Kinda like your flashlight)This weeks Hogan Special on the Golf Channel had segment of the Coleman clip in his later years talking about the middle 2 fingers of the Right Hand. How many listeners paid attention to what he said about the last 2 fingers in the Left Hand? Pinky's trigger the Ulnar region of the forearm and this is the area that people never see from our top down perspective. The Ball does though. Alignment of the Shaft bisecting the Right Forearm is everything. It bisects on the take away and trails in the Strike. Great Stuff my friend.

  4. Bazalgette, Bazalgette, Bazalgette…… Damn! it didn't work. I never really thought Winona Ryder was that cute anyway….

  5. I like how all the lessons are short and concise. My swing thought on take away has always been slow, big arc with both arms and trunk while keeping head still. This lesson seems to reaffirm that.

  6. Cracking video as always, cheers ๐Ÿ˜, just need a day off work now so I can play !! ๐Ÿคฃ

  7. Great video Adam. Do you offer online lessons, England to Naples is just too far ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

  8. Love it. -Iโ€™ve lost 10 strokes in couple weeks following your words. Thank you so much. Feel like Iโ€™m gonna break 80 this week ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

  9. Would you rather have Adam Bazalgette as your swing coach, or Adam Bageljet to bring you bagels every morning, by plane? Asking for a friend.

I can't stop laughing. please send help.

P.S. I would go with the coaching!

  10. what about the next motion? after you take away to the right with your arms straight like you did, can you just keep turning and go straight up while cocking the wrist?

  11. Please disable your video title translations into german, they are total bs. this one translates "drill" as a tool and "driver" as the driver of a car.

  12. I have been working on this, been getting some good results. Gotta just trust it. This type of take always feels unnatural to me. But gotta commit 100%. Exciting stuff. I'm a dork.

  13. Thank you for all you do mr. Bazaelgette you knocked 10 strokes off my game I started 4 months ago shooting 100-110 from 120-130 thanks bro๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช

  14. Hi Adam
I tried your two-handed takeaway drill for the first time on Monday and scored 45 stableford points (gross 80) at my home course of Cottesmore G&CC, Sussex. On Tuesday I scored 38points in a qualifier and received a 0.3 handicap reduction and today, Wednesday, I scored 43 points (gross 82) at Woodcote Park GC, Surrey – a course I have never played before. Now have a driving accuracy of 76% and added 15 yards to my drives. Long may it continue – a great tip!!
    Thank you

  15. Great video Adam, any tips on keeping the backswing compact, I sometimes get the yips with my woods and overswing by getting to much arms/ hands rather than the big muscles.

  16. Lobe the videos! Got rid of my sclice finally. After more then a month of great driving all the sudden im drive knuckleballs 2 the left. I dont know what they call that, but I'm hoping to find the solution in another one of your videos

  17. Thanks for this video. I think this is something I can work on and actually feel where the hand and body should be. This is something I've struggled with all my life and the old habits are so hard to shake. After that first move with the laser beam feel, is there another feel you can suggest to get to the top of the backswing?
    Thank you again.
    Gordon.

  18. Does initiating the backswing by a smooth push away of the left shoulder, arm, and hand constitute an undesirable "placing" of the hands and club as referenced in this video? It would seem that initiating the take away in this manner would facilitate good timing as it would prevent a too early turn of the hips and allow the club, hands, arms, and body to reach the top at the same time–an essential to good timing that you reference on another video. Moreover, this would also assist in creating a good swing plane. Thanks so much, Adam, for your superb instructional videos!
